Launching Mrad call center 1597
MRAD Electrical Services Company opened the Call Center 1597 under the patronage and presence of the Minister of Energy, Nada Al-Boustani , and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Manager of the Electricité du Liban, Kamal Hayek.
Minister of Energy and Water Nada Boustani congratulated “MRAD” and the South Company for “this step, which will help improve customer service for the whole region,” noting that a lot of work has been done from the beginning of the project until today, and there is still a lot of work waiting for us, pointing that "MRAD Company" installed about 22,000 new meters about a year ago, in addition to writing more than 5,000 violating seizure reports.
 
Boustani explained that, "After reducing the subscriptions, more than twenty thousand applications for a new meter were submitted, and it is necessary to install them as soon as possible, and to decrease the waste rate in the south more than 7 percent”, stressing that "we have provided all facilities to the citizens” and pushed them to benefit from it and legislate their subscriptions.
 
She revealed that, a month ago, the "MRAD" company received on the hotline more than 2,300 reviews, most of which were processed in less than 24 hours. New built and pneumatic smart meters will be installed for M4 stations before the end of the year.
 
She pointed out that "the implementation of several investment projects and new lines for the Sidon region, and the establishment of 24 new exits from the main Sidon station, will reduce technical waste and improve feeding hours for the region," noting that "this center that we are opening today has 9 employees to receive reviews and works from 7 a.m. until 11:30 p.m”.
 
From his side, the Director-General of the Electricité du Liban, Kamal Hayek, praised "the people of the south and Nabatieh's willingness to subscribe to the electricity supply, which confirms their desire to settle their situation and aby the law when the have the opportunity”.
 
He announced that "the number of new subscription applications in the various departments of the south has reached, since the beginning of the reduction, about 27 thousand applications, which constitutes more than a third of the number of applications submitted in all Lebanese regions. Also, since July 1, 2018, more than 16 thousand counters have been installed in various departments." the South".
 
He pointed out that the "MRAD" company was able to achieve a successful launch, and the best proof of that is the call center that we are opening today. For smartphones, App notification, which allows the subscriber to obtain several services, including receiving notifications about the bills that are under collection as soon as they are issued, arrears, records and other services. As for the second service, it is reactivating the hotline 1708, which will receive subscribers’ complaints about any failure to follow up on their transactions with the Electricité du Liban.
 
He announced that, "Since MRAD took over, investment projects worth more than $23 million out of more than $30 million allocated until the end of this year have been implemented. 
 
For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the "MRAD" Electric Services Company, Mustafa MRAD, indicated that "the choice was correct by assigning the energy portfolio to Boustany, and the evidence for the depth of her knowledge, is that her plans regarding the electricity sector, its problems and solutions, have been adopted by various political forces." Pointing out, "We are opening this service today, which will contribute to facilitating the affairs of citizens, and to speeding up services such as maintenance and repairs to secure the convenience of subscribers.
